Ben Witherington III at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Austin

Here is an open invitation from the kind leadership of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Austin, TX.

“We invite you to join us for a very exciting opportunity to hear and personally visit with Dr. Ben Witherington III, world renowned theologian, professor of New Testament Interpretation, and author of more than 30 books. He will be on our campus January 24-27 lecturing and discussing New Testament topics with ordained leaders, lay leaders, church members and community guests.

Specific dates and times for the Witherington events are:

Thursday, January 24, 7 p.m.: “Is Jesus the only way to God?’

Friday, January 25 , 7 p.m.: “Jesus vs. the 21st Century”

Saturday, January 26, 9-11:00 a.m.: “Problems with Paul.”

Part 1 – “Were Jesus and Paul giving different messages?”

Part 2: – “Women, Submission and Culture: Marriage and Singleness”

Sunday, January 27 at 8:15 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Dr. Witherington will deliver the sermon at Covenant’s worship services. His sermon, which focuses on Revelation 4, is titled “A Vision of Worship.”

A professor from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky, Witherington is considered one of the top evangelical scholars in the world. We are honored to welcome Dr. Witherington to Austin. His reputation as scholar and communicator combined with his ability to tackle biblical subjects that are currently on the popular culture’s radar screen ensure applicable and educational lectures.
